Obama, Messiah, King of the Lose

In 2009 Sue brought something to my attention that was pretty shocking, but, then again, not. We’d heard over and over again the prating about in Europe this and in Europe that, they have it better in Europe ad nauseum. And in 2008 many followed the heed of that call, “I’ll give you hope, I’ll give you change, but you must give me the power”, so they gave it to him. Now we can be like the others.

She reminded me of the scriptures in 1 Samuel 8 and what happened to Israel.

4″…now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.”

⁷ And the Lord told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. ⁸ As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. ⁹ Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do.”

¹⁰ Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king. ¹¹ He said, “This is what the king who will reign over you will do: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. ¹² Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. ¹³ He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. ¹⁴ He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. ¹⁵ He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. ¹⁶ Your menservants and maidservants and the best of your cattle^[b] and donkeys he will take for his own use. ¹⁷ He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. ¹⁸ When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the Lord will not answer you in that day.”

Did this happen it America? Do we have this King? Let’s see. Start with the healthcare act, that doesn’t have much to do with healthcare. Within the gigantic document you are required to carry healthcare or pay a fine (tax), it no longer matters if you trust God’s sovereignty. It gives the authority to the government  to TELL YOU how healthy you should be. What else does it do? Not to be comprehensive, but it builds a million strong “civil” army not held to the limitations of the military, it conscripts our youth, it requires everyone to complete at least 60 hours of community service, it conscripts our healthcare staff into the military, it sets taxes on everything we own, will own or thought about owning.

And for that King that demanded powers, look at his executive orders. The first thing he did was give a foreign police diplomatic immunity to ransack and confiscate from Americans without due process. He created a sub-government of ten governors that would rule the rest. He created an EO that allows the government to come in and confiscate livestock and crops. He is closely following the UN Agenda 21 in the taking over land from citizens. And all the while the burden on Americans has increased.

And now you cry out for relief from the king that was chosen.

How did we get here? Is there a way out?

America began denying God’s sovereignty long ago. In 1912 we elected a president that introduced European banking ( fake money) that began to strip the Godly ethics of hard work, accountability, spending only what you have. Others stripped God’s sovereignty by promoting fear, you must be insured, just in case, instead of trusting God’s sovereignty. So everything became a sense of trust in insurance, trust in government, forget trusting in God. And the country seemed to prosper. All that fake money, and if it started running out print some more. Home loans, car loans, school loans, TV loans instead of trusting God for our provision and now slave to the lender.  And God was put up on the mantle, like a trophy, that we could watch, venerate, worship, but not trust. The motto on our money makes me wonder just what god it is that we trust.

And, so now you have your king. And it isn’t King Jesus.

So is there hope? Not for America, but there is for you. Come back to trusting God. He is sovereign, He is our provider, He is the help in time of need, He is the comfort and strength, and He is the ultimate judge. All will be judged. Are you afraid to be different, to stand with Jesus and not the world? Jesus said in Matthew 10:28, “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Are you going to risk your eternity for the sake of men? Jesus is calling you right now. He is the way, the truth, and the life and He wants you to join Him. He has called you at this moment, accept His offer. You won’t be disappointed. Choose this day, which king you will serve…
