Don’t fear My silence, it is time for action

There are those that search every day for words from the Lord describing cataclysms or bad things to come, appearing to be feeling down without a piece of bad news from God to set their day. There are even some web sites that make up their own word, just for the traffic or their own significance. I found this quite troubling. I rarely have a direct Word from God, or some sort of miraculous event to keep my day going so I live contently on His scriptures and the promises and warnings contained therein, while looking about me at real world events unfolding.

Now I read that there’s going to be a great earthquake on May 20th along with a total eclipse of the sun centering over the Aleutian Islands. What is it with this 20th or 21st number, allegedly in the Mayan calendar, that everyone else seems to keep pulling up as coming from God, even Harold Camping did that. Seems odd that the Mayans would be communicating with God revealed to His people Israel.

In my quiet time this morning I received what I believe was a Word from the Lord that needed to be proclaimed today.

“Why do you worry? Why do you continually wait for more? Why are you afraid of My silence. Have I not spoken? Have I not proclaimed My intentions? Is there no place that I haven’t shown what is to come? I have given warnings, I have given instruction, I have given encouragement. Have I not revealed in My Logos, and now confirm, what is to come. I have given warnings, I have given instruction, I now expect you to take those actions, preparing for when I call. My silence is for you to bear fruit, like the seed buried in the ground in silence to burst forth at it’s appointed time. DO what I have told you to do, now, not more, not less. Prepare, as I have told you. Do not forget what your primary call is, even now. Prepare for my coming. The field is white unto Harvest. Spread my Word that when I come My table is not empty. Don’t fear My silence because I am coming, yes, I am on My way.”

So, that is what I heard and I believe it is also for you. This is a time of preparation, buy and store the food, take the precautions as God has led you, but like the Manna from heaven not more. Instead of going out and buying the latest Blackberry or Iphone use that money to invest in God’s kingdom. Our primary reason for our being was, is, and continues to be, to proclaim the Day of the Lord and sow for His harvest. God is changeless, don’t take His instruction lightly, His silence is for your own good….

Roaring on the Inside

(Updated author’s note: If you feel strongly about this then let them know by leaving a comment at the Newsboys explanation)   See also I believe..

My wife and I have recently had discussion over her concern about the new Newsboys song God’s not Dead. She said they were saying “roaring like a lion” and we all know that there are only three such mentions in the Bible, the most familiar is “the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking who he can devour“, though all three give an evil deadly presence to the reference. (correction: Hosea 11:10 does mention God roaring like a lion, but not in this context. God roars to an unrepentant nation, who comes back humbly. For God to be continually roaring on the inside means an unrepentant heart, holding the form of religion and continuing in sin. That is what the emerging church of apostasy is, and maybe that is where the Newsboys are headed.)

Now we have this song:

God’s Not Dead

Let love explode And bring the dead to life A love so bold To see a revolution somehow
Let love explode And bring the dead to life A love so bold To bring a revolution somehow
Now I’m lost in your freedom And this world I’ll overcome
My God’s not dead He’s surely alive He’s living on the inside Roaring like a lion
My God’s not dead He’s surely alive He’s living on the inside Roaring like a lion
He’s roaring He’s roaring He’s roaring like a lion Let hope arise And make the darkness hide My faith is dead I need a resurrection somehow
Now.. Now I’m lost in your freedom Now.. And this world I’ll overcome
My God’s not dead He’s surely alive He’s living on the inside Roaring like a lion
My God’s not dead He’s surely alive He’s living on the inside Roaring like a lion
He’s roaring He’s roaring He’s roaring like a lion
He’s roaring He’s roaring
Let Heaven roar And fire fall Come shake the ground With the sound of revival
Let Heaven roar And fire fall Come shake the ground With the sound of revival…
My God’s not dead He’s surely alive He’s living on the inside Roaring like a lion
My God’s not dead He’s surely alive He’s living on the inside Roaring like a lion…
He’s roaring He’s roaring He’s roaring like a lion…
Roaring like a lion

Sounds kind of cool except that a roaring of a lion is all hot air. The roar is meant to threaten, intimidate, or paralyze the intended prey. I’m pretty uncomfortable with the notion that there are kids and adults making this confession with their mouths. God doesn’t walk around like a roaring lion, or live on the inside roaring like a lion. He isn’t full of hot air. God is compassionate, yet just. He is loving yet firm. He is all wise yet speaks to us in the simplest of terms. Jesus is the Lion of Judah, the Alpha and Omega and you ask Him to come into your life as your helper, healer, Redeemer and it’s His Holy Spirit that’s on the inside.

bashta album cover

abridged image from the album cover

The song is written by Daniel Bashta who’s website homepage leaves me concerned, why is the guy with the lion’s head standing on a pile of skulls forming America? I’m not old fashioned, but imagery full of skulls while claiming to be worship music is a stretch. As a Christian musician and worship leader it is always a point of discernment when songs fail to acknowledge Jesus, and this song clearly does. Who is “my god”? He could be anyone or anything, in particular, the devil himself without you even knowing it. Many walk around deceived and become deceived through little doors until they no longer know where they are. The emerging church is very much that, dishing out eye candy while stripping the power of the Holy Spirit from their words. Do you find yourself saying things to agree with everybody, do you really know the word of God anymore, or did you ever? Plug yourself into His word, seek His truth and cast away lies and deceit. We haven’t time to play around anymore. Don’t allow yourself to be part of the deception.

As for this song, it has a good place on the shelf or maybe out the back door….

Kim Kardashian’s underwear

Just a follow up on the previous shaking posting. I was looking at some numbers and noted that over the last seven days there have been nine 6+ earthquakes worldwide, plus the two 8+ off the Indonesian coast. In 2001 there were 137 earthquakes of magnitude 6 or greater, in 2011 there were 205, just over the last week, now, there have been 11. That’s more than one a day. Are things ramping up? I think so.

In 1973 the late David Wilkerson described the vision he was given in which a cataclysmic media dominating earthquake event was to take place (finally no more stories on the color of Kim Kardashian’s underwear like she tweeted to the world 😉 ). This earthquake is to take place in the US, in an area unexpected, not known for earthquakes. It was also to be preceded by a huge earthquake in Japan (March 11, 2011). This earthquake will cause so much widespread damage it will dominate the media feed for weeks. Can anyone say Wisconsin?

It’s been clear to the observant that the world is ramping toward an event, a total makeover. As Jesus said in Mt 24:7&8, like birth pangs, increasing in intensity and shorter in time between. Yet all the while, the world plays a game focusing on the trite and, if you will, vulgar. What event? Let him who has ears hear, and he who has eyes, see.

What’s coming? God is not slow to act, but He is merciful. But, it is clear that the time is coming, and may now be upon us, that the Lord’s judgements will be unleashed on the earth. The coming destruction is no longer a wake up call, it’s a judgement, the real deal. In my spirit I hope to be gone, raptured into Jesus waiting arms. In my flesh, like Jonah, I want to see it go down. Thankfully, the Spirit trumps all.

The time is come where decisions need to be made while they still can be made. Are you still playing around? Are you really more concerned with someone’s baby bump or the color of Kim Kardashian’s underwear? Jesus IS coming. Jesus IS calling you, at this time, this very moment to be His, to be counted among His own to be called up into heaven. The time is now, take this moment and ask Jesus to forgive your sins, your unfaithfulness. Surrender that which you keep holding on to as your joy. It’s fake and you know it, lose it, give it to Jesus and enter into the real joy and avoid the pain soon to come on the world….

A time of Transitions

Response: A time of Many Transitions

Good morning Glynda,

On spot, but then again, when is God not.

Yes, many transitions and changes as God prepares each of us to stand against what is coming. In our home God has prompted us to be ready to move at a moments notice. God has set me aside from youth ministry while one man’s selfish ambition effectively shuts down the ministry, after which I will be restored to another. Many of God’s faithful long to hear the present Word of God but only hear niceties and cautious avoidance.

God is shaking things, spiritually and physically, as evidenced these last two days with the earthquakes. We will meet challenges that we would never expect or that we thought we were prepared against. But it is God’s preparation, not ours that is effective.

Take strength in 2 Cor 1:6-11

6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. 9 Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our[a] behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

God will not leave you, nor forsake you. We need to lose that which weighs us down, that we can be lifted up in Him, without fear or apprehension. to trust Him and do His good work….

What is that shaking?

Wow, what a day yesterday. The planet was rockin and rollin when an 8.6 then an 8.2 quake hit just west of Indonesia, then on the other side of the planet a 5.9 (originally 6.2) quake hit the coast off of Oregon a 5.3 off of California and a 6.5 hit the west coast of Mexico. Then I wake up to find a 6.9 and a 6.2 hit in the Gulf of California after I went to bed. Now a 4.5 off the New England coast. Clearly, there’s a whole lota shakin goin on. Indonesians escaping possible quake induced Tsunami

I note that all the earthquakes, almost without exception get downgraded from their original reporting, why is that? Is there shaking going on in the USGS offices? If they were to leave the original reporting numbers over the last couple years their “normal” numbers charts would blow right off the wall. I remember reading, recently, their response to the frequency of quakes as normal, that there are literally over a million quakes a year worldwide. Funny, but a same type statement less than a decade ago reported “normal” as hundreds of thousands worldwide.

What’s the catch? Why does the agency responsible for reporting “real” numbers feel the need to cover up reality. Why change these numbers from 8 to 7 and 7 to 6, 6 to 5, etc. Are they shaking in their boots looking at the reality that earthquakes are increasing in number and intensity? Is there some inexplicable reason that they won’t recognize or that they feel the need or are ordered to cover up? In reality these things and times were prophesied long, long ago.

Jesus said, over 2000 years ago MT 24:7, that there would be earthquakes and that these are the beginning of the birth pangs. And like birth pangs we will see an increase in intensity and frequency. For our USGS to admit to increased frequency and intensity would be to admit to something not normal and add credence to the words spoken by Jesus and the prophets.

Jesus warns us in Mt 24:32-34 to take the lesson from the fig tree. When the twigs get tender and the leaves come out you know that summer is near. Likewise, this year, the sap is running and the trees are budding many weeks early, coincident with this earthquake run. The signs are true.

What about you. Are you one that is shaking? Are you avoiding or ignoring the prophecies for this end time. Are you telling yourself, this has happened before or this is normal? Have you not received Christ and, as such, pretending that these events are not happening? You can’t afford to hide from the truth. Look at the trees, the time is short, soon you will no longer have the opportunity to receive the gift from God. Seek Him now, come to grip with your sin and ask Him to cover it with the Blood of His Son, accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord. Ask Him into your heart today.

Or are you a Christian? Are you, too, ignoring these things? Did you get on the bandwagon once before only to find you didn’t get raptured away? Rejoice in God’s grace that He allowed just a little more time. But, stop your shaking now. Get your spiritual house in order. You don’t want to be like the 5 foolish virgins and be found unprepared and left behind….

Prepare for War

Response to Prepare for War

I literally just finished and put down the book ” The Harbinger” by Johnathan Cahn and then came in and read this. WOW!

We have, these last six weeks, felt a moving by the Spirit that God is moving us, even further from the cities, to a safe place that can produce subsistence on it’s own. We have been packing to move at the moments notice. We haven’t listed our home, as we haven’t been lead (God’s last move we didn’t list and sold our home anyway) to do so. We wait on His timing.

War is coming, whether by land, sea or within, the killing will begin. We have lived under God’s protection for so long it’s unfathomable to grasp outright bloodshed in our land (who’s land????)that it is enough to make you gasp. I have anticipated this word before long.

Since 9/11 the nation has stood arrogant and instead of crying out to God, determined to make itself stronger, even without Him. These last three years of militantly pulling down any inkling of a reminder of God the creator, God the just, the One and Only Sovereign God, have only sealed the fate. I just read, yesterday, a story about an atheist who became a christian(?) because he finally accepted that Jesus exists. Well, the devil even knows that Jesus exists and wars against Him. The story goes on to share that this person wants to go into the ministry at the local liberal Baptist church (???) and start a rainbow church for LBGTQ because the Bible has been changed to go against homosexuals.

The Apostasy is running rampant, the warning shots of 9/11 and then again the collapse of 2008 are ignored. Take comfort in Jesus. It is time to enter in, throw your total dependence on Him, cling to Him, He will provide. Walk in caution, listen intently, but also walk in joyful anticipation that He will be calling us up, very very soon.

April’s Fools

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.” : Jim Elliot

Having just celebrated Palm Sunday, commemorating Jesus victorious entry into Jerusalem, I couldn’t help noting the irony of it being April 1, the day of fools. Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus entry into Jerusalem to the tune of songs and chants of praise, coats laid on the ground before Him and palm fronds waving. April 1st is now a day of derision commemorating those folks that refused change, that being the move of the start of the new year to January 1st.

Funny how history goes. In the US, four years ago, the chants of praise, hope and change, restoration of glory followed a candidate around the country. Promises, promises and more promises preceded the crowning of the savior, the messiah for the US. That “savior”, was ushered in to take control of the most powerful country in the world. Joyful anticipation of the new, recovered and glorified nation they envisioned was enjoyed by many. Though he has brought the country to the brink of collapse and martial law, he may even, now, get re-elected. Little, then, did they know the price it would cost. Fools….

A little over 2000 years ago a nation was under the tyrannical thumb of Rome. Their scriptures foretold of a savior, a Messiah, come from God. When Jesus arrived on the scene he performed miracles, ridiculed, and confounded the religious leaders, was incredibly wise and always gave them something when He was around, feeding them and blessing them. Clearly, this is the One foretold by the prophets, the One to set the captives free, to bring liberty, to feed us and provide for us. They announced His arrival with cheers and song, throwing their coats on the ground in front of Him, waving palm fronds and announcing His arrival. But within a week those fronds would become swords, loving touches would become lashes tearing at His flesh, words of praise would become scorn, derision and mockery, He would be abandoned by all to be killed mercilessly.

So, what went wrong, how could the deliverer be delivered to die? Then, as now, the people only looked to their immediate desires. They had expectations that He would come in and deliver them from the Romans to give back the glory of Israel. To give them, to give them, to give them…..instead, He gave them just words. He talked about being humble, turning the other cheek, lose their riches and follow God and worse, that He was the Son of God and that they needed to follow Him. But where?

Obviously, He was going to no-wheres-ville. He wouldn’t even denounce the Romans. What good was this guy. He said he is the way, the truth, the life and only through Him could you get to God. Well, if that didn’t beat all, now the priests were going to lose their jobs. Okay, time to lose this guy, so they delivered Him up to the Romans to be killed and so fulfill the prophets and, without their knowledge, bring hope and change. In their selfishness, through Jesus the Christ’s death and resurrection we now have hope and deliverance.

These two parts of history describe fools. Are you one of them? Do you still seek your creature comforts, success, personal significance at the cost of your eternal life? You don’t have to be. You can admit to yourself that you are a sinner, admit to yourself that Jesus DID come into the world to set it free, admit to yourself that He loves you so much to have borne your sin on the cross and the only thing you have to do is take His gift to you and accept Him into your life as your Lord and Savior. It’s a small price to pay for an even greater reward. What you are holding on to is gone when you die, then what?

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose. It’s April, are you being a fool…..
