Why aren’t my prayers answered?????

I’m sure you’ve been there, an evangelist, faith healer, prosperity speaker, etc prays over you with loud proclamations and touches, then in the morning with great expectations bare-soilthere’s nothing, nada, bare ground. Sometimes it’s hoopla, sometimes faithlessness on your part or wrong asking and you have your answer, then there’s the walk answer. It’s that walk answer that’s hard to swallow, let me explain. I Refuse to………. SIT ON MY BUTT!

I REFUSE by Josh Willson

lyricsty.com

Sometimes I
I just want to close my eyes
And act like everyone’s all right
When no, they’re not

This world needs God
But it’s easier to just stand and watch
I could say a prayer and just move on
Like nothing’s wrong

But I refuse

Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care
I don’t want to say another empty prayer
Oh I refuse to
Sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself
Oh I could choose
Not to move

But I refuse

I can hear the least of these
Crying out so desperately
And I know we are the hands and feet
Of You, O God

So if you say move
It’s time for me to follow through
And do what I was made to do
And show them who you are
[ Lyrics from: htp://www.lyricsty.com/josh-wilson-i-refuse-lyrics.html ]

Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care
I don’t want to say another empty prayer
Oh I refuse to
Sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself
Oh I could choose
Not to move

But I refuse

To stand and watch
The weary and lost
Cry out for Him
I refuse
To turn my back
And try and act like all is well

I refuse

To stay unchanged
To wait another day
To doubt myself

I refuse
To make one more excuse

Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care
I don’t want to say another empty prayer
Oh I refuse to
Sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself
Oh I could choose
Not to move

But I refuse

I refuse
I refuse

Yeah

So, what do you  think?
Sometimes it gets wearing, all this stuff going on all around. People have been told, yet they still keep going around the same treadmill of sin. You get pretty tired of it, let’em get what they deserve, they won’t listen. Or maybe you’re too busy, you tithe, you pay someone to do this stuff, but you’ll pray for them. Okay, yeah, that’s it, get on the prayer chain, maybe mumble something on one that interests you. Job done.

But then there are those who seriously haven’t heard, that only you are qualified to speak to them because God has been spending your entire life preparing you to do it. Are you still going to sit? Are you still going to let someone else do it even if you’re the one God has set apart for that very thing?

This song burned a hole deep down to the depths of my heart the first time I heard it. It continues to do so. Many of you visit my writings hoping for another Word, another admonition, another encouragement. Take this Word then, I believe from the Lord, GET OFF YOUR DUFFS AND GET OUT THERE! Wow, did I just say that? Really, I pray the conviction burns in you as it does in me and that you will fervently seek God  and what He would have you do. And when He tells you, and He definitely will, get right to it…

No longer the Time of Favor.

A Word that came to me yesterday for the church while I was meditating and praying about some crisis issues that have come up.

I am calling. I am calling because the time is short. I am calling for your faithfulness. The time is coming and is at hand where your comfort zone is to be removed. You pray for good things. You pray for comfortable things. You pray for wealth. At one time these things would have been added to you if your heart were Mine, but now you hold your heart as a ransom for things.

You say, but I have loved You. No you haven’t. You say, I have served You. No you haven’t. You say, I have given to You. No you haven’t

The Fallen One has called for your testing. Skin for skin, bone for bone. Remove the material comforts and we will see who serves The Lord or who serves me. We will see.

I have granted that testing. I will test you and many will fail, only to be given over to that final test. I am moving and time is mine. I will call My faithful and remove My lamp stand. Then those who have been deceived, fooled, will be left behind. The day is fast approaching when My people will no longer want to be a lamp on a stand, a city on a hill. They will be in hiding, waiting for my return while Death waits at their door.

To my faithful I say this, your love for Me has been proved, and continues to be proved, stand fast, stay the course, I will soon return to call you up to Me.

Don’t Just Pray for Revival, DO REVIVAL!

bacon and eggs

Breakfast is ready to serve, are you?

Earlier I wrote that we need to pray for revival. We need to drop the ulterior motive of restoration and really pray for revival that few would be left behind at the rapture when ever that might be. That at this juncture in history of earth and time we, in the time of the Gentiles, continue to do our part until the end, with or without the promise of the return of creature comforts.

Well, then, I got this image of churches calling together the faithful, spending a couple of hours in prayer (some a whole 15 minutes) that the Lord would send His Holy Spirit and bring revival across the land. That God would redeem everyone from bondage, bind the broken spirits, lift the faint, restore His church. Sounds great. Continue reading

Pray for Revival not Restoration

English: I took photo with Canon camera.

pray

I’ve heard a lot lately about praying for revival, that there’s still time to save this country if we would just pray for revival. They quote:

2 Chronicles 7:14if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

They cling to the hope that America will return to its former glory. Whoa, God’s in the life saving business, not the country saving business. I wrote about this a couple of months ago in “For the USA, revival or restoration?“. But what if the coin is already set? What if the final count down is ticking, the judgement is at hand? Do you still pray for revival? Continue reading
