So we’re at the end of another year. We survived the Mayan calendar, but is that the highlight of the year? In America, we’ve come through, endured, suffered many natural and unnatural events and crisis. None of which bode an air of having gotten through it, breath a sigh of relief and move on toward better. Far too many things have happened that can’t or won’t be turned back, to a direction with a sort of permanency. So whats up with this doom and gloom? Well, in no particular order:
The return of a lawless one.
Yes, by hook, crook and sham he got re-elected. He now has his “mandate” and will have the opportunity to stack the Supreme Court of the United States. What does the future hold? He has stated emphatically that “gun control” is his highest priority this term. How about fiscal responsibility Mr. President? Nope. The next four years will be more of the same, irresponsibility while spending tax dollars trying to create a way to blame the other side. His agenda, that we’ve always feared, has a full go now and just a quick look at his new appointees shows that he no longer worries about what the populace will think about it. We’ll see the continued buildup of the civilian army, the shunning of Israel and will soon see the worst of obamacare (control of the populace) start to take off. We could see, in very short time, the literal burning up of the US Constitution.
More false flags.
As stated above, gun control is paramount to the POTUS, at any cost. I’d written before that the Connecticut shootings have all the signatures of Federal involvement. The Aurora Colorado shootings and the Connecticut shootings initially had two shooters but the story got sanitized. The result is, again, a plausible reason to disarm Americans and rely on government police “protection”. And if this isn’t enough to turn the trick look for an uptick of “Christian Militia plots” and arrests. If HAARP is to be believed look for a HAARP induced catastrophe in the Midwest.
What is mental health care anyway?
This rash of violent killings serves two nefarious purposes, creating a plausible “need” to get rid of guns and a more broad approach and more intent mental health evaluations. By creating this “need” the industry will be given a broader grasp to “evaluate” and what to look for. This will open the door for locking away Christians and dissidents. How? By creating a mental disorder. Ya, right you say. Only this week was a story that transsexualism is not an illness. Like homosexuality in 1973 they’ve described it as a cultural and or temporary dysfunction, fixed by an operation and drugs (of interesting note, they called it a Dysphora so that the individual can still receive Federal funds for surgery and medication). And these are the people who will be determining criteria for locking people away. Look for legalizing pedophilia to be following close pursuit on the heels of this decision because it’s normal and doesn’t really harm children.
Middle East seems to be falling apart
Through the course of the year we’ve seen the Muslim Brotherhood taking over country after country. Governments have been thrown down and replaced. Turkey and Russia are getting precariously involved in Syria together, a gamey piece given that Turkey is part of NATO. That recent attacks on Israel and the dicey “peace” negotiated by, again, the Muslim Brotherhood. Look for Obama to try to step in and push the two state agenda to completion.
Natural events will increase.
We finished out the year with Christmas day tornadoes. Merry Christmas. In a year that saw an increase in devastating natural disasters we can look for more. This year ran the gauntlet; fires, floods, a Superstorm and drought that still continues, worldwide earthquakes rock the planet. There is no indication that this trend is going to ebb or stall. Currently many North-easterners who finally got electric power back are knocked out again by blizzard conditions.
Wow, that’s a lot of doom and gloom.
Yup, but it was foretold in the Bible. Jesus said in Matthew 24
“4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,[a]’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
These things are going on while the church sleeps and plays nice, or doesn’t play at all. The churches were warned in Revelation 3
New International Version 1984 (NIV1984)
“To the Church in Sardis
3 “To the angel[a] of the church in Sardis write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits[b] of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. 3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.
4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. 6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To the Church in Philadelphia
7 “To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:
These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. 9 I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. 10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.
11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. 13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To the Church in Laodicea
14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.””
The things that are coming are changeless. They will happen. There are those that will try to convince you that God is “love, peace, gentleness, peace-loving” , He would never…..If you hold to that then you call God a liar, so what’s the difference.
God is not a liar. He is sovereign and just. He holds out as long as permissible for everyone who will hear His call but then like Abraham and Lot in Genesis 18:20-33, Genesis 19:1-22 and King Josiah in 2 Kings 23:24-27 God does reign His judgment down. SO how does one get past all this? How can we look at the New Year with expectation? Good question. God in His sovereignty and grace provided a way. We just celebrated the birth of the Christ, the Savior, God’s answer to all this. Without the Christ, this outlook is bleak and painful, but with the Christ and a relationship with Him, we can look boldly and confidently to the future. Knowing that there may be ill aimed at those in Christ, the knowledge of the soon coming Kingdom supersedes any fear. Do you have a relationship with Jesus, the Christ? Have you given yourself to Him? If not, this is the time, there is no better. It’s simple yet hard. Admit your faults, yourself as a sinner, take the free gift that God provides and be able to boldly face this coming year.
