Well, now you’ve done it. In front of God and the universe. The world has given full support of the terrorists and thumbed it’s nose at the US and Israel.
The only no votes were from the US, Canada and a couple of really low tier countries. The world agenda is really starting to take shape. The problem in all this is, why all this hype and hoopla now? Why is statehood important now? They SHOULD BE celebrating their 65th year of statehood.
Let’s look at a little history:
In 1947, the UN voted on the Partition Plan giving part of the British mandated Palestine to the Jews and part to the Arabs. The Jewish leaders said YES to the plan and created Israel welcoming their Arab brothers. The Arabs, on the other hand, said NO and vowed to destroy the Jews. The Arabs would lose the war and be impoverished.
In 1967, the Arabs, with Egypt and Syria, mounted superior forces and vowed to “throw the Jews into the sea”. But instead lost Judea, Samaria, the Golan Heights and Jerusalem. Instead of accepting a peace treaty the Arabs made the famous “Three Noes” declaration. No peace with Israel. No recognition of Israel. No negotiations with Israel.
In 2000, Israel offered Arafat a sovereign Palestinian state including all of Gaza, 90% of the West Bank, and half of Jerusalem. Arafat said no and began the attacks known as the Second Intifada.
In 2005, PM Ariel Sharon withdrew from Gaza and gave the Palestinians Gaza with no treaty. Yet the Palestinian leadership, again, said no to peace and instead began firing missiles at Israeli citizens.
In 2008, the Israeli PM offered the Palestinians a sovereign state, yet the leadership said no.
In 2009, PM Netanyahu came out in provisional support of a Palestinian state. But the Palestinians refused to even sit down for direct negotiations.
Yet, yesterday the UN votes statehood to a people who allegedly don’t want it, that continue to violate a primary requirement, that of being a peaceful nation. Even the US, while explaining their NO vote added their support of a two state Jerusalem.
This has to be, prophecy says so. God will judge the nations that divide the land of Israel, that has to come to pass. Israel needs to become isolated from the world so that God, and only He, is there for Israel’s rescue and support. These are the times we live in, the times foretold, the times the ancients looked forward to. This is not a time for those in Christ to sit passive. The time is running short, the fields are white for harvest, it’s time to get busy serving, not being served. If you don’t know Christ Jesus, if you’ve hedged and hawed. If you’ve put off facing yourself and who you are, the time is now. There may not be a tomorrow. Look to Jesus the Christ, the redemption for your sins. Repent and ask Him to come into your life and give you the freedom, that you don’t deserve, but you need.
