Thanks for commenting. There doesn’t appear to be any separation between verse 5 and verse 6 so that’s why made that assertion. None-the-less he did, in fact, take the fruit and eat after letting her eat. The commentary is about man’s passivity, beginning with Adam, and the results that follow. The woman in rebellion, who continues in rebellion after being directed otherwise is one thing. But there is no indication that Adam manned up, if you will, but actually passively followed his wife. The condition of the mainline churches today is a result of this passivity, giving in to the wiles of women and emotional decisions instead of Biblical choices.

Very good debate.Some Bible translations say Adam was present others say he was not.My biggest problem is female accountablity.We know Adam was given the Word before Eve existed.We also know Adam gave her Word and she understood it.Part of Eve’s protection was the information that she chose to disregard . There is no mention of the serpent and Adam having the conversation.So you’re telling me Adam is to tell her the Word and protect her when she deliberately breaks it??? Women have free will and can be very rebellious.Adams goof up is mainly eating the apple.I don’t go too far with the protection stuff if you’re deliberately disobeying guidelines designed to help you.Modern women really push this envelope.All the rights no responsibility.Peace And Blessings To All…

So also, have we wondered after hearing him declare that Jesus didn’t die for everyone. He goes on to declare that Jesus only died for those predestined. How sad it would be if he were to have so watered down scriptures that one day he wakes up and finds himself in the position of Charles Templeton. I pray, for his sake, that would not happen.

Right on! I have never understood how any clear thinking person can use these scriptures to argue cessationism. You have to argue against the precedent of Scripture and history while also throwing out the context. It’s much easier just to believe what the Word says. But I guess if anyone thinks “the perfect” has already come, then I really don’t mind if they wanna stay with *this* perfect while I believe for a better (and biblical) perfect. He is coming soon!

Well I wish you the best ….this waiting is not hard on me anymore…but the ‘expectation’ is Okay…knock already LOLOL …like someone is about to knock on the door or ring the phone or something…when that happened in Boston…and nothing else happened…Where is the ”other shoe”??? hahaha…I read where Russia had ‘warned and asked American FBI to check into those two brothers in 2011′…guess they got bogged down in paper work…oops…but it didn’t take long of them to repeat Waco with the Tanks…I am sorry about all the mass pain and suffering so many went thru..yet the Word does say there will be far reaching more,..but you know…this just don’t line up…the republicans are not lining up..did they get ‘beamed up’ to #54 in the Desert? They bash the Democrats that’s normal but they are not doing anything…not really…it seems like the Muslims have taken over the White House with a ‘hail to the Chief’ wearing the US Flag (smile) hahahaha..
Something is not right…it don’t line up with the Word..’for Christians’….other than to ‘be still’…for the Worldly Christians Jesus is going to Beam us all out of here before the trouble starts …people like you are planning on things…
I’m very serious…this is not a time for flaky Christians to get near me hahaha…I’m no one’s personal Priest or Guru nor am I their God…(smile)..I’ll be like the 5 Virgins …”I won’t share…Go to the ones who ”sells the Oil” ” (and there are many of them.)

Dan, I’d have to rip out too many scriptures to believe it is true that the Lord is through warning…I do believe there is a solemnness one of reverence of his ever presence that instills those to all of us (to be quiet) ‘be still’ …like a parent to a small child..in a time of silence that is needed…”be still”…that too is a warning…could that ”one” be coming on the scene…Oh my gosh..I can see why he’d be welcomed!! ….Good nite Gracie….say good nite Gracie!!
