Get On Your Knees and Fight Like a Man!

I live and breath music and the more that I can offer up in God’s service the sweeter it is and the more connected I feel. But today’s music has been getting soft, nice, unoffending. Don’t get me wrong, I like the music, but in a lot of cases there is no strength to it, no relational connection to Christ, kind of like music you could safely hear on secular radio, or love songs you could sing to your sweetheart. Much of the music has lost the edge, the edge of the sword.

Get Jesus outa here! WHAT? Where’s America heading?


More and more occasions are coming, even more lame than ever of trying to quash any mention of God or His Christ. In this present push of “tolerance” ( don’t get me going on that) the fact that we are offended by those “offended” and what they impose on us is totally ignored. They, in their various groups, can heap hate language on us yet are allowed to tie us up in court on some twisted interpretation of a verb or noun. I thought I would bring up again just what religion is and the impossibility of removing it. When I wrote this, only two years ago,  I hadn’t imagined the lengths of the persecution and containment of Christians that would sweep this land.

What’s this country coming to and even more so, what’s up with North Carolina? The state, with the city of Chapel Hill, has gotten into more than it’s share of anti-Christian junk and now this comes out, where chaplains have to steer clear of Jesus. Pastor Terry Sartain, a police chaplain, is told by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Dept he can’t invoke the name of Jesus when he prays at public ceremonies. When he asks what he should pray, then, he’s told to pray something secular.

A while back when this secular movement was gaining traction and the words religion and religious kept being tossed about I got to thinking about those words. You’d hear statements of he/she did that religiously, a scientist/researcher did his work religiously so I did an English dictionary look up.
