Well, it was expected and it did happen. The new Czar of Russia has been elected with the promise of immediately spending $ 3/4 trillion to expand the “defense”. The Russian/Iranian alliance is hard evidence of the coming together of Ezekiel 38 & 39. No, it’s not 1967 or 1973 or any of those other skirmishes. None of them had the named nations of the scriptures together in one setting. The current situation is the formation of that very alliance formation described in the scripture.

Russia needs to expand her empire and southward is the only place to go. She has already allied with Iran and is protecting Syria. Putin has already described his aim to acquire 800 more ballistic missiles, all the while the US president is working to reduce their own nuclear capability by 80%. The US will no longer be a threat because their president ( a Muslim brother) is emasculating the country. Would Russia use missiles? Given the context of Iran, maybe. Recent discussions have indicated that Putin is not capable of fielding an army ( let alone a potent workforce) due to a negative population growth the last decades. Missiles and tactical weapons take the place of many men and women.

Of interesting note is that neither Egypt nor Iraq are in the current setting. But then again, neither are they in the scriptural setting in Ezekiel 39. They are conspicuously absent. Additionally, the US is not a part of that setting in scripture. Currently, as opposed to US history of strongly supporting her, the current US president feigns support only to give the Iranians time to develop nuclear weapons, backpack ready. The US will no longer support Israel either directly or by abstentia and in so doing will seal it’s doom and invoke the curse of those who turn on Israel.

Watch the middle east carefully and fearfully. Scripture is unfolding before your eyes, Gog has been named and Magog makes it’s alliances, and Israel is left with only God as her protection.

So too for you. Are you still relying on things of this world for your peace (what peace) and safety? Are you seeing those very things being shaken? Only the peace of God can save you, only His strength will prevail. Time is short and running out, are you ready for His coming? It is the easiest thing you can do, yet the hardest but most important time in your life. Ask Jesus, the Christ, into your heart. Be washed in His sacrifice and give Him the Lordship of your life. It is by the strength of His Sovereignty that you will be saved from that which is coming. Don’t wait, find Jesus now……

I'm a musician and worship leader, intent on following wherever God leads and directs me, with His leading's in the Spirit and others bonking me on the head ( hopefully not much of the latter). My life experiences are in blue collar and white collar (engineering) employment, political office, lay ministries, national competition in track and cross country and most importantly marriage and raising a family. God has given me a unique set of skills and character to serve Him and a passion for doing it.

  3. Gog, Magog, Meshech and Tubal have nothing to do with Russia. Christians tend to identify them with whoever is the scariest enemy of the day (the Goths, the Muslims, Syria, Iraq, now Iran).

See my blog for a recent essay.

I’m not sure why I’m bothering leaving this reply; I would like to say that the Lord wants us to do his will (pray, evangelize, edify) rather than run around like Chicken Little, as this site seems to be proficient at doing.

    • Sir, instead of promoting your blog perhaps you’d be more edified reading the entire blog. This is a watchman’s blog, not a doctrine site, or as I have a tendency to notice, false doctrine site.

    • We can trade insults I suppose, your site is boring, uninformative, doctrinally questionable. But that is your choice. Your last comment shows your lack of credibility given that you made your comment without reading more than the most recent post.

      Try

      What’s to be thankful for
what do you give someone who has everything
      dry and weary
      plugged in

or any reference not chicken little, as you say.

Gosh, it makes me wonder about your opinion of Jeremiah…

    • After further review, your statement is pretty arrogant and reading your essay solidifies that opinion. I’m afraid you assume I’m a pre-tribe OSAS what ever theology. For your information, in one case I am what-ever theology, I’m pan-trib. But don’t let that distract you, you seem intent on insulting me here.
